Privacy policy
Spalaxy – Space Wallpapers, by WargXP. Effective 7 October 2026.
Spalaxy is a wallpaper app. You don't create an account, and the app doesn't ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location. This page explains the little information the app does handle, and why.
Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To learn which parts of the app people use, Spalaxy uses Google Analytics for Firebase, a service from Google. It collects:
- App activity, such as which screens are opened and which buttons are used (for example "set as wallpaper" or "add to favorites")
- A random app-instance ID created by Firebase when the app is installed. It is not your name, phone number or advertising ID.
- Basic device information: phone model, Android version, language and app version
- Your approximate region (country or city level), which Google works out from your internet connection
Spalaxy does not collect the Android advertising ID, does not show ads, and does not sell or share this information with anyone for advertising. Google processes it on our behalf under the Firebase data processing terms and Google's privacy policy. Statistics are kept for 2 months and then deleted automatically.
You can turn usage statistics off at any time in the app under Settings → Share usage statistics. When it is off, the app sends nothing to Google Analytics.
Information that stays on your phone
Your favorites, your daily-wallpaper settings and the pictures the app keeps for offline use are stored only on your phone. They are never uploaded. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them.
Loading the images
Spalaxy downloads its list of wallpapers from spalaxy.wargxp.com, and loads each picture directly from the servers of the organisation that published it: NASA (images.nasa.gov) or the European Space Agency (esawebb.org and esahubble.org). Like any website, those servers receive your device's IP address so they can send the picture. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs for security. We don't add any tracking to these downloads.
Permissions

Children
Spalaxy is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off usage statistics in Settings, and you can delete everything stored on your phone by uninstalling the app. Because there is no account, we can't link statistics to you personally. If you have a question or a request about your data, email spalaxy@wargxp.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling information in a new way, for example if ads are added, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
